Prenatal Exercise
& Postpartum Recovery
Feel Supported and empowered throughout your pregnancy and your postnatal recovery journey. Courtney has been passionate about helping mothers for many years, and completed a pre-postnatal yoga teacher training in 2017 which taught her safe and effective movement options for women during the different stages of pregnancy, as well as the most effective ways to help them physically recover after child birth. Postural Corrective
Exercise
Postural Corrective exercises is a service Courtney provides cohesively with functional strength training. Addressing postural issues is a foundational step in establishing new healthy movement patterns for joints and muscles. Improving posture is one of the most effective ways to relieve movement pain and establish the proper support and stabilization to build functional strength in a sustainable way. Although postural corrective exercise plays a preliminary step in functional strength training, Courtney often works with clients whose main focus is postural improvement. Joint Surgery
Recovery Training
Helping people recovery from joint surgery is a service that Courtney is very passionate about. In 2017 she developed a serious hip injury and underwent major surgery in November 2018. She has since made a full recovery and as a result of her personal experience with the challenges of injury rehabilitation, Courtney has become an expert in helping others with similar issues. Continual physiotherapy is not always an available option, but having a professional in your corner to help guide you through the roller coaster of recovery is something that will ensure you optimize your surgery outcome. Peri-Menopause
Fitness Coaching
I am so happy to provide specialized care for this underserved demographic in the fitness industry. This phase of life can be really challenging for women to navigate and the physical changes can affect the body on every level and leave women feeling weak and uncomfortable in their own bodies. I am here to help women move through this time with support and guidance. By building your functional strength in ways that best support these physical changes, you can retake control and once again feel comfortable and confident in your body. Therapeutic Yoga
Courtney completed a 200 hour Therapeutic Movement Yoga Teacher Training in 2015. This particular type of yoga focuses on the therapeutic and functional strength benefits of each physical posture and is a great tool to use when educating clients on range of motion, muscle recruitment and overall movement technique. Although Courtney does not currently teach yoga classes, she enjoys leading one on one yoga practices and incorporating this particular skillset into her one on one training sessions.
